International Church Mansfield Nottinghamshire

BSP provided a range of pre-planning services in support of the application by the International Church to create what has been described as the largest investment of its kind in the UK. The new church is scheduled to be built on the site of former industrial premises occupied by Metal Box in Mansfield.

BSP’s pre-planning services included preparation of a Transport Assessment to assess the impact of the proposed development on the surrounding highway and transport networks, completion of a Travel Plan to encourage modal shift away from the private motor vehicle, and a Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy. Drainage proposals include opening up a section of existing culvert to create an open channel water feature through part of the site.

The scheme was awarded planning permission by Mansfield District Council in February 2015. BSP is currently involved in the drainage work required to discharge the relevant conditions of the permission.
